Joseph A. Rogowski

Joseph A. Rogowski, a native of Buffalo, New York, studied ancient classics in high school and earned his degree in pharmacy from the University of Buffalo in 1959. After a successful career as a retail, community pharmacist, a personal religious awakening in 1977 redirected his path. In 1981, after resigning all his positions in the company, he and his wife Ursula, along with their two children, left for the mission field with Youth with a Mission (YWAM), serving across Asia and the Pacific for nearly a decade.

During their time with YWAM, Joseph composed a seminar on community development that launched a decades-long global ministry. He delivered this seminar in 14 nations, integrating hands-on strategies to empower communities toward growth, improvement, self-reliance, and biblical worldview. His passion led him to earn a Master’s degree in Public Policy from Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia and later teach a graduate level course on Third World Politics at the International University in Vienna, Austria.

Joseph and Ursula served two tours on Mercy Ships. On his free time, while serving as a pharmacist aboard ship, Mr. Rogowski presented his seminar on community development to various civic and
church groups in Ghana and Liberia.
